NAU MAI KI TE AO

NAU MAI KI TE AO was written by Mihikeita Ngata, and first printed in 2022. It is a pukapuka pēpi that started off as an idea on how to explain to our child how they came to be, in a simple and unique way, and one that also respected our want for them to be immersed in Te Reo Māori.

It has been written from the perspective of a mātua reading it to their tamaiti. However, it can be read any way. It is totally in Te Reo, with a helpful reference of kupu hou at the end. It also considers the developing eye of growing babies who love to look at high-contrast images and patterns, as they tend to stand out from the slowly reducing blur.
